EMPLOYMENT HISTORY: Independent Consulting March 2002-February 2005 Analog Devices, Inc. — Supported major releases for the Embedded DSP family of products and VisualDSP++ Tools. Acted as PM for development of 1000-page TigerSHARC Hardware Specification, which entails creation of an Internet-accessed database of all specifications, working with over 30 Design Engineers, creating all illustrations, and coordinating the review process. TigerSHARC multiprocessors support third-generation mobile communications systems (3G). Created illustrations using Adobe Illustrator for Blackfin documentation. Created three versions of the TigerSHARC data sheet. Revised two VisualDSP++ manuals for 16-bit processors for Rel. 3.5. Conducted review process and revised 900 +-pages SHARC DSP Hardware Reference. The effort involved working with a review team of 30 product managers, software designers, application and product engineers to re-organize critical chapters and create new chapters/segments to introduce new features and functionality. Blackfin architecture combines the audio processing capabilities of DSPs and media processors and integrates WiFi and 10/100 Ethernet, security keys, and software into one low-cost module. Blackfin processors are used in such applications as digital cameras, portable media players, data/media gateways, and IP set-top boxes. Independent Consulting July 2003-Present Three-Five Systems, Inc. — Designed document set for all major product releases, including two user's guides, and provided general editorial support for technical publications. Three-Five System's Innovative Display Systems division manufactures flat panel, specialized LED, LCD and touchscreen systems for rack and panel mounting. Senior Technical Writer July 2001-July 2002 Mapletree Networks, Inc. —Developing and implementing a complete documentation plan for Mapletree Networks. This involves determining content, establishing and implementing cross-departmental processes, and creating all technical customer documentation for Mapletree’s packet-based voice, data and fax network access and core network infrastructure equipment for OEMs. Technical customer documentation includes release documentation, implementation guides/application notes, and UniPorte ArchitectureTM Software Developer’s Guide. Providing marketing support for new product development, including writing a preliminary technical specification. All documentation is prepared using FrameMaker 6.0, Adobe Acrobat 4.0, MS-Word, and Canvas 7.0.Independent Consulting February 2001-July 2001 DisplayCheck, an Anteon company — Designing, determining editorial content of, and creating hardware and software user documentation for the MDT-210L and MDT-250LH (Micro Display Testing) products. DisplayCheck test systems provide machine optical performance inspection of liquid crystal and silicon microdisplays. Worked closely with RAS development team to create the ADSP-21mod870-500-510 Dual Data Pump Processor API Guide for the ADSP-21mod870-510 (16-bit) modem with its programmable serial port during three software releases. The API guide included Voice-over-Internet-Processing (VoIP), Fax and Fax over IP (FoIP), and ISDN support. Provided documentation support for the 870- and 970-series RAS modems by generating technical data sheets. Used Adobe FrameMaker release 5.1, Deneba System’s Canvas release 5, and Adobe Distiller to create documentation in printed and PDF formats.
